My Bio

Hey, my name is Ceylan.  I may be seventeen, but I am a talented storyteller and I am doing my best to get published.  I’ve published about five poems and a few essays.

I am a Girl Scout and I have completed my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards.  They are the highest awards that a Girl Scout can attain.  Bronze is about twenty-five hours of community service, not counting prerequisites and that it was for sixth graders.  The Silver Award was about a thirty-five hour community service, that is excluding the prerequisites and that it was for ninth graders.  I finished my Gold Award early September ‘08 on a project that was supposed to be sixty hours, minus the prerequisites.  Seniors in high school are supposed to finish this.  I finished it at the beginning of Junior year!  The point…..I can keep deadlines and I know what to do what it takes go get things done.  Wow, I sound like a commercial.

I also used to dance.  I danced Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Pointe, and Tap.  I preferred the Ballet and Hip-Hop because both were about performance, power, and stamina.  It totally rocked.

I am currently writing a tween/teen (I guess that is YA) quartet.

I am definately not into the (shudders) grammar stuff, but I am into what a story is, the characters.  I believe that one good character can carry a story.  So everbody should know…I LOVE LOGIC!  I love the logic of people and their behaviors.  I love to know why they do things.  It makes a story so much more interesting, don’t you think?  So, I hope that you enjoyed the tidbit about me.

If you love logic I can understand why you hate grammar. I’ve been studying English at tertiary level for years & still can’t get my head around some of it.
Good luck with your writing & pubishing goals :-) . I wish I had known I wanted to be a writer when I was 16, maybe I would have published something by now!

Thanks for the comment. I’ll do my best to get published, and as for grammar…I’ll let it speak for itself. (shudders)

Great website Ceylan. Great content and layout. I also program in Visual Basic, C & C++, Java, and a little Cobal and Fortran. Did you write your own code for this site? If so; I would love to talk to you about possibly a work for hire on a website for me. I have one that I did, but it could be a lot more sophisticated.
