Summer Vacation has officially started! Now I need to work on my summer plans:

3) Get at least 100 followers on Twitter
4)Learn Shinee’s Lucifer dance
5) Write songs
6) Write a play
7) Write a webseries
8) Write a movie

My summer will be full of work! I hope I can get everything done!

I’ll keep you updated!

I’ll be able to spend time to write in a week and a half. I just have to hang on until then…

Until that time, I think I’ll update you on what’s been going on. I’ve been working on figuring out which key I’ll write the song Waiting in the Wind will be. I know that B and B flat are too high for pop (not the one by middle C). I was thinking of maybe doing the one that’s closer to middle C…then I need to determine if it’s going to be major or minor key…I don’t want to sound classical, but I want to be able to show my range’s capabilities.

The conundrum is to figure out what to do….

Wish me luck.

Okay!

Reading the Theater book I mentioned gave me so many ideas (well, two…) for play writing. Unfortunately, I have three weeks until the semester ends. I have three weeks until I am free from the bounds of paper writing and test-taking. I have three weeks until I am free to write uninhibitedly. I can feel so much joy growing deep inside me. I can feel the euphoria of stories waiting to burst inside me. It’s almost time. It’s almost time.

On another note, (great transition into music, huh?) I wrote two more songs. They are in 4.4…for some reason, all my songs are in 4.4. It’s curious, I find that my music is rather consistent in style and is very much like Tim Rice and Elton John.

What endeavors are you going for or planning on working on?

I am doing so much! I’m notating my lyrics and I picked up this book, The Essentials of Theater (Edition 7) and it is such a fascinating read! I recommend it for anyone who would like to write plays.

Keep positive and keep on writing.

Writing Prompt One

Hey guys!

Try this prompt:

Open with the first line of a song

Write prose in the middle

End with the last line (or as close to last as you can get) of another song.

Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Crawling in my skin, these wounds, they will not heal…It was that time again. They had come back for me. They were going to try to awaken that…that monster inside me. He knows they’re trying to release him and so he is thrashing about inside. You might be wondering who He is. He…is…this person, I invented, I created Him to protect me from people who were trying to break me. I made Him as a safety net, a protection as I watch my purple sky fly over me. He was good then, but then I started telling Him about the situation, who was in it and why those people were hurting me. He helped me, He saved me, He revolted against those people, He took over, and that’s when They found me. They wanted His power. At first, He was on my side and resisted, but there was one time after the beatings, and the drugging, the starvation, and the raping when they pulled Him out of me and He changed his mind. He wanted to be separate from me and they promised him his own body, as long as He could break free from me and lock me up for good. I won’t let Him, He’s my creation, Return to me salvation.

Opening Song: Crawling by Linkin Park
Middle Song: Whisper by Evanescence
End Songs: Tourniquet by Evanescence

5 March 2011

The past two days I have been working tremendously. I haven’t been working on my usual books. I haven’t been working on my plethora of poetry. I haven’t been working on my screenwriting.

I have been working on my songwriting. I recently am starting to figure out melodies that flow with my lyrics. The more I do it, the more interested I am in my work.

I guess I just have music in me, music that is flowing out gently and steadily.

Keep positive and keep on writing.
