Reading the Theater book I mentioned gave me so many ideas (well, two…) for play writing. Unfortunately, I have three weeks until the semester ends. I have three weeks until I am free from the bounds of paper writing and test-taking. I have three weeks until I am free to write uninhibitedly. I can feel so much joy growing deep inside me. I can feel the euphoria of stories waiting to burst inside me. It’s almost time. It’s almost time.
On another note, (great transition into music, huh?) I wrote two more songs. They are in 4.4…for some reason, all my songs are in 4.4. It’s curious, I find that my music is rather consistent in style and is very much like Tim Rice and Elton John.
What endeavors are you going for or planning on working on?
Well, before I go on vacation for a month, I am proud to say that I did a ton of writing today.
I managed to write a whole act in a play I dreampt up on Monday.
I won’t say anything about it though…
Thanks for reading

I’m 18! I’m a big bad MAJOR! (minor is under 18 and major has to be over it)
Finals are done! AP Biology test is done (I think I got a 5 out of 5!)! School is done!
I just started writing again. I am writing a play about the workplace. I was totally inspired this year’s English class. Each marking period was thematic in relation to life like justice and tragedy. For the second semester, we studied Oedipus Rex (I LOVE TIRESIAS!!!!), Death of a Salesman (I LOVE BIFF!!!!), Bargain, and The Lottery. It was such a learning experience that it gave me the courage to write a play. Let’s be honest, I actually wanted to write one before hand, but I was uncertain of how to go about it. I wrote one during Christmas break…it was depressing even though I was jolly during the season and I was not pleased with how it came out. SO I decided to write something totally different from what I usually try to write and attempt to use Aristotle’s theatre critiquing to develop my play-writing style.
Wish me luck.
Right now, I have a ton of good ideas for plays. (I am totally inspired by Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. Unfortunately, I will not be writing in the next three weeks, due to an AP exam. I am not upset though, I wrote down those ideas and I will have plenty of time to write after the exams.
I spent hours writing yesterday, I am so thrilled! Yesterday, I wrote a play, one that was inspired by A Doll’s House.
Play writing is easy and hard at the same time. One has to visualize what is going on as well as keep the exchanges short, short enough that the viewer knows what’s going on yet, not write a whole novel.
It is like writing the short story or a haiku, it’s an incredible experience of liberation, yet one has to control himself/herself.
Writing is the easiest hardest task I set out to do.
